I was given this race bib courtesy of SAC. A week after Garmin race, i almost manage to reach my target of 48 min in this hot weather and elevation gain of 46m. 48.03 min. I am quite content. But alas, i was some 45 seconds shy of a handshake with the King and Queen […]
Category: 10km
I just landed 2 nights ago. I was excited to test my performance in this hot humid weather after an 8 month hiatus. I had a target in mind. At least 48 min perhaps? 51.25 min! Crushed! 2 mistakes. Firstly, too ambitious! Secondly, i forgot about hill training! The elevation gain was 50m, small in […]
This was a small community event where a portion of the proceeds are channeled for a cause in China. Ran the 10km as maintenance training, and clocked in 46.38. Still found it challenging to beat the PB in July. Certainly recommended for kids (and adults alike 🙂 Activities were family friendly, balloons, face make up, […]
A week after Tallinn. In the city of Xanten in Germany. Not a PB, but enough given the condition. 47.50. Xanten is famous for its Archaelogical Park, which i am looking forward to visit once again.
A week before Tallinn Marathon, and during the tapering week, i raced. Not a PB, but enough to go on stage – age group. Clocked in 46.32. This is also part of the AV Veluwe athletic club championship. Not to be missed.
After a great PB @ Voorthuizen, i was excited to try for another PB of sub 45min, therefore a pace of 4.30. Only managed a 47.20 race. After only 2km of running, i felt twitch in my stomach/ abdomen, and the discomfort caused me to slow down. Mentally, i also think that the pressure of […]
10km PB 45.23. Stoked! The race was part of the training preparation to qualify for Boston 2020. It was 4 loops of 2.5km. Source: https://www.voorthuizenloopt.nl/
10km PB 46.13. Woo hoo! Inching closer to the 45 mark i am aiming for. This was a 4 loop of 2.5km race just a 10 min walk away from Wagnerhof 20. I do not mind the loop as familiarity of the turns and corners help one anticipates better. I came 2nd overall and got […]
This is the second race as part of the 5 week FM training program. As usual, i get that butterfly in the stomach before a race. The trail takes you through the woods on a cycling path, although it isn’t 100% flat. You will run pass a mini meer (lake, but man made) which was […]
#roadrorotterdam The race… This was Z4 training planned. I was able to pick up speed in the first 2km running at a pace of 4.37. I liked the number on my watch but wasn’t able to sustain it until the end. Yet, i am pleased with the average speed (4.41) given the condition i was […]
When my spirit is low, i have this weblog to turn to :), to remind me of the pledges i have made. Haha… no, seriously. I have been running almost every day since returning from Holland, but with very little structure, that i have no gauge as to whether any of these mileages ran will […]
4.43 m/km pace, 47.27 min Source: https://spelle-laufgruppe.de/
5 years ago, i started running leisurely. 3 months ago, i started training structurally. These were my 10 km records: 2013 (first); 1.01 hour 2017 (PB before structured training); 49.31 min 2018 (PB after 3 months of structured training); 46.55 * min 2019 (45@40) ? *46.49 on watch. Bruto and Net time difference not adjusted […]
Having achieved my PB of 47.52 at Utrecht 3 weeks ago, i was itching to try again for another PB. I had a sub 46.59 as a target. I managed a PB of 47.45, but not meeting target of sub 46.59. There could be multiple reasons which i cannot be sure of. Was it too […]
