10km Maintenance Malaysia Race

9 November 2019, 9to5 Run, Putrajaya 10km

I was given this race bib courtesy of SAC.

A week after Garmin race, i almost manage to reach my target of 48 min in this hot weather and elevation gain of 46m. 48.03 min. I am quite content. But alas, i was some 45 seconds shy of a handshake with the King and Queen who will be presenting the award to only number one of each category. Congratulations to Rita who managed 47.19 and the honor in the Women Veteran category. i came 2nd.

I remember scrambling to look for a long pants for the award ceremony. It happened once while at PJ Half Marathon that it is compulsory to be dressed appropriately to go on stage. So, the blue pants was courtesy of a kind gentleman.

I like racing in Putrajaya. Wide open road, lesser cars and traffic, more greens. Precinct 3 (where the flag off is, and where the Malaysia Palace of Justice is) holds very dear memory to me.

I would want to race in this event again, hopefully they keep the edition running continuously.

#nopainnoglory and #cannotrunanyfaster look. That recurring #gameface is becoming more permanent in every race as i struggle to beat the 10km PB of 45.23
