Elevation gain of 509m. Not large but the rolling hills are what makes it rather tiring, besides the heat. The last stretch of climb was uncalled for, as it took us longer than usual to finish the race, and dawn sets in
At dusk… looks warm but not on this day. Temperature hit a low of 13 degree in the eveningRace starts at 7pm, and ended just about 945pm (yeah, took me a while to finish)… and it got rather chilly.Sight of Almoural castle, which was the main highlight of the town. I hardly look behind me when i run, but this was a worthwhile turn. That steep climb towards the end of the route… Bahhh… It was getting rather dark by then and finish line still not at sightA copla tunnel crossings (noteworthy). I get claustrophobic with these things, a bit like being at the valley of the kings and queens.yes, this on the way, along the way towards the finish line.2 medals quite unexpectedly. Coming in second overall, and in the age group.
