4 July 2018, Wednesday, 10km, 22e Mijn Fysio Klepperstadloop

Having achieved my PB of 47.52 at Utrecht 3 weeks ago, i was itching to try again for another PB. I had a sub 46.59 as a target. I managed a PB of 47.45, but not meeting target of sub 46.59.

There could be multiple reasons which i cannot be sure of. Was it too soon to expect a ~1 min improvement? Was it the body recovering? Was it the route – 4 loop with multiple corners? Was it the time of the day? Was it the temperature? Was it the hydration? Was it the mental state of mind? … And the list goes on and on and on… Analysis paralysis.

Needless to say, a PB IS a PB and it is a hope that things can only get better if one keeps trying. Structured training was something that i was never very fond of. The routine traps me. But the improvement is making me believe – yes it can.

SOP. Stop the watch. But i was still living that moment (of relief) that the 4th loop has finally come to an end.

#3. Stoked. Thank you to Gertjan for pacing me. Keeping a consistent pace remains a struggle.

The race was at the city of Hardenberg. Above is the Gementehuis Hardenberg. Apparently voted the ugliest building in Holland. Hmm… i actually like that it is Different.
