Is it wise to run a 10km (trail) within 24 hours of touchdown? Well, the optimist in me thinks if there is a measure of pain and discomfort, this would be the very worst end of it. So all other future races can only be a pleasant one 🙂 Convinced?
What went wrong in the race? As usual, went too fast in the first 2km, dehydration sets in after only 2 km of run, followed by a stomach cramp at about km6.

After 10km, was able to place 4th.

On reflection, a consistent pace or a negative split would have given me an improved experience. That sprinting start needs to stop!

Winners are only for the Top 3 in Holland. This is the bloemen GJ received for coming in 1st in the mannen category. One for my memory, and to chase for 🙂
